Description
When your oil temperature gauge starts climbing during those long summer days of hay cutting or heavy tillage work, your oil cooler is likely struggling to keep up. A failing cooler can turn routine fieldwork into engine damage that’ll cost you thousands. This replacement oil cooler for your Deutz gets those temperatures back where they belong, protecting your engine from the expensive consequences of overheated oil.
What You’re Getting
- Efficient heat exchange design that rapidly pulls heat out of hot engine oil
- Direct replacement for worn or clogged original coolers – no modifications needed
- Robust construction that handles the pressure and temperature swings of hard work
- Corrosion-resistant materials that won’t give up after a few seasons
- Proper cooling that keeps your oil viscosity where it needs to be for maximum protection
Built for Real Farm Work
Your Deutz tractor earns its keep during the toughest conditions – pulling a chisel plow through hardpan on a 90-degree day, running a round baler non-stop during that narrow weather window, or grinding feed for hours with the PTO at full throttle. Whether you’re running an Agrostar through long harvest days or pushing a DX6 with heavy implements, proper oil cooling makes the difference between years of reliable service and premature engine wear.
Made to Last
Deutz air-cooled engines are legendary for durability, but they generate serious heat that needs somewhere to go. This cooler features thick-walled tubes that won’t balloon under pressure, efficient fin design for maximum heat transfer, and quality seals that won’t start weeping after a few heat cycles. Unlike universal coolers that sort-of fit, this one’s designed for your Deutz’s specific oil flow rates and mounting points.
Installation Notes
Before installation, figure out why your old cooler failed – external damage, internal clogging, or just age. If it’s clogged with sludge, you’ve got bigger problems to address. Drain the oil completely and flush the system if contamination is present. Use new gaskets and O-rings – reusing old ones almost guarantees leaks. After installation, run the engine and monitor oil temps closely. You should see significantly cooler running temperatures under load.
