Installation Notes
The heat-shrink fitting means heating the collar until it expands, then sliding it on before it cools and contracts tight. Mark your shaft position first because you’ll only get one chance to place it right. Clean any rust or burrs off the shaft, heat the collar evenly with a torch, and work quickly. When you install your new seal afterward, use plenty of clean gear oil on the seal lip to prevent damage during startup.
