Installation Notes
Hand-tighten the filter three-quarters of a turn after the gasket contacts the mounting surface – no more, or you’ll damage the seal. Always replace the gasket during installation, and apply a thin coat of clean oil to it first. Your oil capacity is typically around 6.8 liters for the sump, plus another half-liter when you change the filter.
