Description
When you’re putting hours on your older Allis Chalmers tractor or Ford machine, keeping clean oil flowing through that engine is what separates a runner from a rebuild. This Baldwin oil filter does exactly what it’s supposed to—captures the dirt and metal particles that want to turn your engine oil into grinding paste, while letting clean oil flow where it needs to go.
What You’re Getting
- Anti-drainback valve keeps oil in the filter so you don’t get dry starts on cold mornings
- 20 PSID bypass valve ensures oil flow even if the filter gets loaded up with contaminants
- Full-size filter at 5 13/16 inches long provides serious filtering capacity for extended service intervals
- Standard 3/4-16 thread fits right where the old filter came off—no modifications needed
Built for Vintage Iron
This filter fits a range of older equipment including Allis Chalmers tractors, Ford machines, and various Fiat-Allis and Hanomag models. These are the workhorses that built farms back in the day—compact utility tractors perfect for feeding cattle, mowing pastures, running smaller implements, and general farm maintenance. Many of these machines are still earning their keep decades later because farmers take care of them with regular maintenance.
Made to Last
Baldwin has been making filters for farm equipment since before some of these tractors rolled off the assembly line. This filter uses quality media that traps contaminants without restricting oil flow, and the housing is built to handle the pressure cycles and temperature swings these older engines dish out. It’s the kind of filter that does its job quietly for thousands of hours.
Installation Notes
Standard spin-on installation—hand tighten until the gasket contacts the mounting surface, then turn another 3/4 turn with a filter wrench. Don’t over-tighten or you’ll crush the gasket and make next time harder. A light coat of clean oil on the gasket helps it seal properly and makes removal easier down the road.
