Description
When your disc harrow isn’t throwing soil like it should or leaves streaks in the field, the problem might be worn or cracked blades that won’t hold their shape under pressure. This 28-inch crimp center blade from Osmundson brings that aggressive soil-moving action back to your harrow, with the reinforced 8-inch center section designed to handle the stress and strain of cutting through tough ground and heavy residue without folding over.
What You’re Getting
- Crimp center construction that stays rigid under load – no more bent or folded blades that create uneven tillage
- 28-inch diameter gives you plenty of blade life before replacement, with room to wear down while maintaining cutting effectiveness
- 5/16-inch thick Boron 15B26 steel holds up to rocks and roots while maintaining the proper hardness for long-lasting sharp edges
- Smooth edge design provides clean cutting action and even soil flow for finishing work and secondary tillage
- Single punch mounting fits standard 1-1/2 inch square axles with proper gang spacing
Built for Real Farm Work
This blade handles the kind of work you throw at medium to heavy-duty disc harrows – breaking up compacted ground after harvest, working down corn stalks and bean stubble, or preparing a smooth seedbed for next spring’s crop. The crimp center design makes it ideal for harrows that see regular use in tough conditions where standard flat blades would buckle or wear prematurely.
Made to Last
The Boron 15B26 steel maintains the perfect hardness range – hard enough at 46-52 Rockwell to hold an edge through acres of tough tillage, but not so brittle it shatters when you clip that hidden field stone. That reinforced crimp center distributes stress loads better than flat blades, so you get more seasons of reliable performance before replacement.
Installation Notes
When replacing blades, never mix worn and new on the same gang – the diameter difference creates uneven cutting that leaves mohawk strips. Check your spool spacing while the gang is apart, and inspect the axle for wear or damage that could cause premature blade failure.
